CNY 2012 - Kek Lok Si@Night

My first night photography - without a tripod, without a VR lens. Not really satisfy with the photos - and lots of room of improvement needed. Need to learn more :)

The journey to KLS was not easy. As expected -  terrific jam, thus parked my car somewhere far away at the backlane - and walked all the way to KLS and still faster than those LAZY people who want to enjoy air-con in the car. And a long queue up towards the Kuan Yin statue - I just hike up to reach it. Indeed, was a rewarding task upon seeing the beautifully lit up Kek Lok Si.

CNY2012 - part 4

Photos keep coming - part 4 of this CNY2012. By the time of the post, is the official end of holidays, end of CNY2012 - and life back to normal, the busy one. But will make sure more pics to come.
The tradition of Niam's family - "18 lohan dish" ( sap 8 lohon chai) - yummmy.

one of my favorite dishes - ha look! - Well, I actually cook this.

walk down the memory lane - pasar besar seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

A walk down the Seremban market will not complete without this bowl of beef noodle. All I can say is superb delicious!

I grow older - but this place never change - still looks the same

CNY 2012 - part 3

CNY 2012 part 3 - fireworks showtime (hmm - just a small one). Some selected photos as not really good in how to photograph fireworks yet.
I love this pic the most - sparkling fireworks

This is another one I like - with cute lil boy holding on to the sparkling fireworks and forming a circle of light.

Slow exposure - but seems lack the depth of field?

My father's bonsai over the moon? can anyone catch what went wrong?

CNY 2012 - part 2 - reunion!

Here is the part 2 - reunion lunch and dinner. Being the most important part of CNY - we have got everyone back from the busy working life for the dinner, thus shouldn't waste the chance to snap up some memorable moment - although seems more like a food photography here. Enjoy the photos!
Per normal - mum would get these flowers ( I dont know the name in English) every year for CNY. Waking up early morning and found these flowers beautifully arranged - I just take my camera & snapped it up (even still in sleepy mode)

Dad's hobby - bonsai - with the cute grandson looking on.

Nice CNY house decor - courtesy of big sis and big bro. Now I found I tend to snap pic with blurr background.

I am pretty free snapping around - but mum is the busiest person preparing for the dishes. Dedicate this pic for her (she is preparing the ever famous Hainan chicken rice).

The Hainan chicken (this chick actually being feed with oats which makes it being popular in the market and more expensive?) - need to pair this up with the mum home-made chilli sauce.

Typical bowl of Hainan chicken rice.

A Colorful plate of mixed vege

Arranging the dishes - with the chicken as the main course

We've got big sis's dish - braised sea cucumber with pig's trotters

Ready to be served

Dad helping out - and woohoo - we off to the reunion lunch.

This year we've got a big white pomfret for dinner . and here the checf at work preaparing to steam it.

Yummy - pretty big

Relatively - seems to be the exact same size of this little boy?

Another pic dedicate to mum - my greatest chef. No one beats her!

Hmm - pig's stomach in pig's stomach & abalone pepper soup. (we called it the spicy soup - "lat tong").

Now - is food photography time.

Colorful yee sang - let's lou!

Prawn being the focus item..

Chef at work

A little blurr for this pic - but not wanting to left out this cute baby.

I'm hungry - and bravo to him - he speaks for the first time in Hakka dialect, calling grandad to eat.

Every dishes were well arranged and now is another round of food photography time.

Everyone is busy snapping..

We were all go for the 2012 reunion dinner.

Still busy snapping. Yes - is important to be part of memory.

A big camera to store the wonderful memory.
